Peanut Butter Machines
Made in Gujarat
Gujarat grows more groundnut than any other Indian state, and the Saurashtra belt around Rajkot, Junagadh, Jamnagar, Amreli and Porbandar is the centre of it. A processor here sits closer to raw material than anywhere else in the country — kernels can move from mandi to intake hopper inside a day, which does more for batch consistency than any amount of process tuning downstream.
It is also where we build. Shrijee Nut Company has manufactured peanut and nut processing machinery at Jam Kandorna in Rajkot district since 2004, with more than 500 machine installations and over 100 turnkey projects across 25+ states. For a Gujarat buyer that means you can walk the floor, watch a line run on your own kernel sample, and have an engineer on site the same week rather than the same month.
From Raw Groundnut to Filled Jar
Order the full sequence as one integrated package, or individual machines to fill gaps in an existing setup.
Every Machine We Manufacture
Twenty machines across six categories — supplied individually or as a fully integrated line.
Choose Capacity for Your Market
Over-specifying is the most common and most expensive mistake we see. Buy for the demand you can prove, not the demand you hope for.
Starter Line
100–150 kg/dayNew brand serving Saurashtra retail and regional distribution.
- Compact roaster
- Single-stage grinding
- Semi-automatic filling
- 800–1,200 sq ft footprint
Growth Line
300–500 kg/dayEstablished brand supplying modern trade across Gujarat and western India.
- Rotary roaster and cooling belt
- Blanching stage included
- Two-stage grinding
- 2,500–4,000 sq ft footprint
Industrial Line
1,000+ kg/dayContract manufacturer, private-label supplier, or exporter via Mundra and Kandla.
- Continuous roasting
- Automated blanching
- In-line filling and labelling
- Bulk storage tanks
Gujarat buyers can right-size with far less risk. Because the works is in-state, adding a second grinder or upgrading a filler later is a short conversation and a short haul, not a re-import. Start at the capacity you can genuinely sell through and expand into a layout designed with headroom.
Machinery is supplied from our Rajkot works, so freight to a Gujarat site is a short haul rather than a line item that matters. Budget instead for premises, GPCB consent, electrical load sanction, internal wiring and civil work. See our plant investment guide, profit margin analysis and automation comparison.
Four Reasons Gujarat Is
the Easiest Place to Build
Closest to the Crop
Saurashtra is India’s dominant groundnut region. A one-day inbound haul means kernel moisture barely moves in transit, so your roast profile stays put instead of needing re-tuning every delivery.
The Works Is Here
Our plant is at Jam Kandorna in Rajkot district. You can inspect the build quality before you commit, and after commissioning an engineer reaches most Gujarat sites within hours rather than days.
Engineering Ecosystem
Rajkot and Jamnagar carry one of India’s deepest concentrations of casting, machining and fabrication capacity. Routine maintenance, a modified hopper or an urgent bearing are all local problems here, not logistics problems.
Export Access
Mundra and Kandla are on the doorstep. If private-label or Gulf export is part of the plan, specify FSSAI Central licensing and export-grade packaging from the start rather than retrofitting later.
Setting Up in Gujarat
The order these happen in matters. GPCB consent and load sanction routinely take longer than machine manufacture.
Secure the Plot
GIDC estates across the state are the usual route — confirm the plot permits food processing before committing.
Registrations
FSSAI, GST, Udyam and the local trade or factory licence.
GPCB & Load
Apply to the Gujarat Pollution Control Board for consent and to PGVCL, MGVCL, DGVCL, UGVCL or Torrent for sanctioned load.
Civil & Electrical
Flooring, drainage and wiring completed against our layout and foundation drawings.
Delivery & Commissioning
1–2 day road transit from our Rajkot works, then installation and operator training on site.
See the machines running before you buy. Our works is at Jam Kandorna in Rajkot district, so wherever you are in Gujarat you are a few hours from the floor. Bring a kernel sample and we will run it through a line, which tells you more about final texture than any specification sheet.
Siting a Peanut Butter
Plant in Gujarat
Gujarat’s GIDC estates are well distributed, so siting is mostly about balancing raw material access against your distribution market.
Saurashtra Belt
Rajkot, Junagadh, Jamnagar and Gondal put you inside the groundnut belt with the shortest possible kernel haul and a deep engineering ecosystem for maintenance.
Ahmedabad Corridor
Sanand, Changodar, Vatva and Naroda trade crop proximity for the state’s largest consumer market and its best onward distribution.
Space You Will Need
A 100–150 kg/day line needs roughly 800–1,200 sq ft; a 500 kg/day line 2,500–4,000 sq ft. Industrial space in Gujarat is comparatively affordable — design the layout with room to add machines.
Sourcing and Delivery
This is the one place in India where sourcing is barely a logistics problem. Saurashtra mandis — Rajkot, Gondal, Junagadh, Jamnagar and Amreli — trade groundnut in volume through the season, and most Gujarat plants buy within a hundred kilometres of the floor.
- Short haul means stable moisture. That translates directly into fewer roast-profile adjustments and steadier finished product than any out-of-state plant can manage.
- Buy graded, not just cheap. Proximity tempts processors to buy on price at the mandi; agreeing a consistent grade with one or two traders is worth more over a season.
- Aflatoxin management starts at intake. Do not delete the sorting table and vibratory sieve to save on the machine list — rejecting kernels at intake is far cheaper than a failed FSSAI test on finished stock.
- Delivery from our works is same-state, typically a single day, with our commissioning team following the truck.
Licences for a Gujarat Unit
- FSSAI manufacturing licence — State licence for most units; Central licence above the turnover threshold or if you plan to export.
- GST and Udyam (MSME) registration — the latter unlocks most subsidy and priority-lending schemes.
- GPCB consent to establish and consent to operate from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board.
- Factory licence from the state labour department, plus fire NOC depending on built-up area.
- Legal Metrology packer registration if you sell pre-packaged retail — it governs how your label declares net quantity.
Rules and thresholds change periodically. Treat this as an orientation checklist, not a compliance reference, and confirm the current position with a local consultant. Our guide to FSSAI compliance for peanut butter manufacturers covers the food-safety side in depth.
Power & Load Planning
Gujarat runs standard 415V three-phase 50Hz supply through PGVCL, MGVCL, UGVCL, DGVCL or Torrent depending on your district. Industrial supply across the GIDC estates is among the most dependable in India, so most units size a backup set for grinding and filling only.
| Line capacity | Indicative connected load |
|---|---|
| 100–150 kg/day | 15 – 25 kW |
| 300–500 kg/day | 40 – 60 kW |
| 1,000+ kg/day | 85 – 130 kW |
Peanut Butter Machines in Gujarat
Yes. We manufacture at our Rajkot, Gujarat facility and deliver across Gujarat. Road transit is approximately a same-state haul and typically takes about a day once the machine is dispatched. Installation, commissioning and operator training are part of our standard supply.
Typically an FSSAI manufacturing licence, GST registration, Udyam (MSME) registration, a factory or trade licence from the local authority, and consent to establish and operate from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board. Legal Metrology packer registration applies if you sell pre-packaged retail. Requirements change periodically, so verify current rules with a local consultant.

Standard Indian 415V three-phase 50Hz. A 100–150 kg/day line typically needs 15–25 kW sanctioned load; a 300–500 kg/day line generally needs 40–60 kW; a 1,000 kg/day line 85–130 kW. We issue a connected-load schedule with every quotation so you can apply for the correct sanctioned load before the machines arrive.
Yes, as part of our standard supply. Training covers roast profiling, grinder gap setting, cleaning and changeover routines, and preventive maintenance. Layout and foundation drawings are supplied ahead of delivery so civil and electrical work can be completed before the machines arrive.
Yes, and we encourage it for Gujarat buyers. Our works is at Jam Kandorna in Rajkot district. You can walk the floor, see machines under load, and if you bring a kernel sample we can run it so you see the actual texture the line produces rather than a specification sheet.
Gujarat grows more groundnut than any other Indian state, so a plant here sits closer to raw material than anywhere else in the country — kernels can reach the intake hopper the day they are bought, which keeps moisture and roast profiles stable. Add the Rajkot–Jamnagar engineering belt for maintenance and Mundra and Kandla for export access, and it is the lowest-friction place in India to build a line.
